Dr. Gershon is Assistant Professor of Economics in Covenant University and Co-Chair, Centre for Economic Policy and Development Research (CEPDeR). Previously, he taught Energy Economics at Georgetown University. His research covers energy, natural resource economics, climate change and sustainability. While in University of Dundee, he researched, designed and tutored petroleum and energy courses at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP). Other areas of his work include petroleum taxation; energy sector governance; energy market development; assessment of renewable energy resources; use of hybrid energy systems; sustainable development of energy and environment systems (SDEES); and promotion of environmental sustainability (like campus greening). He is also a Visiting Professor to Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique, St. Jerome University, Cameroon; Emerald Energy Institute, University of Port Harcourt; and International Institute for Petroleum, Energy Law and Policy (IIPELP), Abuja, Nigeria. Currently, Dr. Obindah Gershon serves as the Secretary of the Nigerian Association for Energy Economics, He has affiliation with International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE), British Institute for Energy Economics (BIEE), Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF).
